Dhanbad: Union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) firebrand leader Smriti Irani has accused Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) of ignoring the poor. He has said that it is the BJP government at the Center and Jharkhand which has taken care of the health of the poor and has given them free health insurance scheme up to five lakh rupees under Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Addressing an election meeting in support of BJP candidates in Nirsa in Dhanbad and Dumri in Bokaro, Irani said that Congress and JMM's previous governments in Jharkhand have always ignored the poor. BJP leader Smriti Irani said that Narendra Modi's government at the center has honored women. He understands the sting of poverty because PM Modi is from a poor family.

Irani said that PM Modi has provided gas cylinders and stove to the women of the country, seeing the pain of his mother. He has worked to build toilets to honor women. Not only this, the Modi government has also given people water, houses, electricity and roads. Irani said that the Raghuvar Das government of Jharkhand has built roads in the state, but in those roads, only 205 kilometers of roads have been made from Dumri to MLA Jaganath Mahato three times.
