New Delhi: Former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi attacked the Modi government fiercely on Thursday in the Lok Sabha over the new agriculture law. He said that he will talk only on the issues of farmers and not on the budget. During this time there was also a lot of sloganeering in the House, but after this, Union Minister Smriti Irani slams Rahul Gandhi thoroughly. She targeted Rahul, giving an example of the work done while he was an Amethi MP.

Smriti Irani said that when Rahul Gandhi was the MP of Amethi, the farmers' land was taken saying that a college would be opened for women. The college did not open, but the offices opened. When the administration wanted to get the land back, they went to court against the farmers. Smriti further said that this gentleman (Rahul) walked back by showing that budget, which is going to make the country self-sufficient. For this, they will have to answer to the people of the country. They are not allowed to discuss the budget which has provision for rural infrastructure. He further said that there are 194 such panchayats in Amethi where there were no buildings. These buildings were built under Narendra Modi's government.

The Union Minister said that again and again we are accused that the Modi government works with the spirit of malice, then the biggest example of this is Amethi, which shows that the Modi government works with the spirit of nation-building and poor welfare. He gave the project of AK-203 to Amethi while Nirmala Sitharaman was the defence minister, that too when I was not an MP.
