Snakes are cultivated here for their flesh and other body parts. Snake meat is eaten in China. Also, the body parts of snakes are used in the manufacture of medicines. Jisikiao village is known all over the world due to snake farming. Although tea, jute and cotton were previously cultivated here, but today the main work here is snake cultivation. The snake that the local people fear the most is the five step snake. There is also a very interesting story behind the name of this five step. Common people believe that after the bite of this snake, a person is able to walk only five steps and dies. According to media reports, snakes are reared in small boxes of wood and glass. When snakes grow out of eggs, plastic bags are used to take them from one place to another.

However, when the snakes become big in the end, they are taken to the abattoir from the farm house, where their poison is first removed and then their heads are cut off. After this, the snakes are cut and their meat is kept aside. The leather is dried separately. Bags are made from medicine and skin from snake meat.
