Jammu: Along with the enemy, icy storms remain the biggest enemy for the army personnel posted on the border in Jammu and Kashmir. In the last two months, 10 army personnel have been killed in the many icy storms in the border areas, while 5 others have been injured. The snowfall started on Monday morning has once again brought the threat of icy storms in the border areas of Kashmir. For this, the administration has also issued a warning alert.

Army personnel posted on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir are specially trained to avoid icy storms and to protect their people as well as common people living in the border areas when storms occur. Such soldiers are deployed at every army post in the border areas, who are always ready to help the common people along with their companions, especially in icy storms.

On December 3, two army posts were hit by a snow storms in the same area, in which 4 army soldiers were martyred. At the same time, 4 people were saved after much effort from the army.
