More than 80 people have lost their lives so far in the poisonous liquor scandal

Aligarh: Police administration has launched an inquiry after the poisonous liquor case in Aligarh. Several illegal liquor factories have been raided. In the last four days, 33 persons have been taken into custody in the district under a thorough investigation. These include 3 history sheeters. Also, 3 factories have been sealed. This information was given by Aligarh SSP Kalanidhi Naithani.

So far, 84 people have died: It has been learnt that the toxic liquor menace in Aligarh has made 84 people victims in the district. However, the CMO has so far confirmed 25 deaths and termed the other deaths as suspicious. At the same time, there are still many who are in critical condition due to consumption of poisonous liquor. On the other hand, the government has suspended Joint Excise Commissioner Agra and Deputy Excise Commissioner Aligarh Mandal for negligence in liquor scam.

50,000 reward on Vipin's arrest: Former liquor case main criminal Vipin Yadav detained by police. There was a reward of Rs.50,000. Police have conducted raids at several places after interrogation. Police also raided an illegal liquor factory in Adhon village of Akrabad police station area on the trail of Vipin. A large number of liquor items have been recovered during this period. Police have also recovered 50 bottles of unwrapperd liquor, 70 to 100 thongs of liquor, 5 drum chemicals, 8 drums empty, lids, wrappers and other items.
