Amritsar: Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu has promised at an election rally that 5 lakh poor people will be provided employment when the Congress government comes back to the state and if that does not happen, he will quit politics. Navjot Singh Sidhu said this at a major rally in support of Congress MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal in Phagwara on Sunday. Sidhu also spoke of completely eliminating mafia rule from Punjab.
During the rally, Sidhu attacked the BJP saying that the BJP had not opened its office in Jalandhar in 5 years as party leaders knew that farmers would have to face opposition. Sidhu said in his allegations that the BJP is inducting leaders of other parties into its party by threatening and afraid of ED. On the other hand, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was also attacked by Navjot Singh Sidhu. Sidhu reminded the people who killed Mata Chand Kaur, who killed Mata Chand Kaur, who shouted slogans by killing a police officer who accompanied his daughter, who killed Janmeja ji in Jalandhar?
Meanwhile, ANM Amdeep Kaur, who was injured outside Sidhu's residence, was met by BJP leader and Union Minister of State Meenakshi Lekhi. Lekhi said it was a very sad incident. These women came out of their homes and worked for the country and accelerated vaccination. It was patriotic. They should have received Rs 500 for daily vaccination. There should have been a meal, but it didn't happen. A case should be registered under IPC in this incident. The police should register a case and investigate the matter.
