New Delhi: Congress senior leader Udit Raj has come under the scanner of social media users for one of his tweets over the alleged reports of atrocities on Dalits. In fact, Udit Raj tweeted appealing to Dalits not to go to temples. He has said that Dalits keep being beaten up, but after that they are also not going to go to the temple, in such a way that they should be beaten up further.

आए दिन समाचार मिलते रहते हैं कि दलितों को मंदिर प्रवेश या पूजा पाठ से रोका जाता है और पीटते भी हैं। मैं चाहता हूं इनकी और पिटाई हो तभी जाना बंद करेंगे। जहां सम्मान न हो वहां जाते क्यों हैं?

In a tweet, Udit Raj wrote, "Day by day, there are reports that Dalits are prevented from entering the temple or reciting puja and are also beaten up. I want them to be beaten up and then they will stop going. Why go where there is no respect?' Many social media users have reacted to his tweet.''

Rohit Chaturvedi said, 'So why don't you think so if you abuse thousands of abuses on every tweet of yours, do you stop tweeting?' Yogamaya Nagpal wrote, 'Only freebies like you exploit Dalits when Dalits will think that you have to throw out the Dalits, So, the respect of Dalits will start happening on its own and there will be no need for reservation, the Dalit caste is also a part of the Hindu society, but the Dalit thinking is a stigma, which needs to end.''

In her comment, Desila Doval wrote, "Where were you when a Dalit was killed in Hyderabad just now? At the same time, @shivarai1376 Twitter handle wrote, "Now on its real agenda, for which the Congress has tied a leash around its neck. Separate Dalits from their religion, keep instilling in their mind a feeling of inferiority towards their religion so that they become opponents of their own religion, after that it is easy to convert them.''
