Dehradun: Many brave sons have sacrificed their lives for the country. Due to patrolling in Ladakh, Dev Bahadur, the soldier of village Gorkha Regiment, became a martyr. Today the martyr will be cremated in the ancestral village. Dev was admitted to the Gorkha Regiment only four years ago. The martyr's brother said in his statement that his brother has been martyred due to the explosion in the mine lying in the ground. Sher Bahadur lives with his family in village Gaurikala in the area. They have three sons and a daughter.
Elder son Kishan Bahadur is posted in the Army in Gwalior, while the second son Dev Dev Bahadur (24) was currently posted in Ladakh after being admitted to the Gorkha Regiment in 2016. Late Saturday, the family received information from the village head Lakshmi Yadav about Dev Bahadur being seriously injured in an accident. When army officials were talked about in this regard, they reported the death of Dev Bahadur. CM Trivendra Singh Rawat saluted the martyrdom of 24-year-old young man Karan Dev alias Dev Bahadur from Kichha with moist eyes.
Karan Dev of the same Gorkha Regiment has been martyred while performing his duty on the Leh-Ladakh border. He was a resident of Gaurikala Kichha. The CM has requested God to provide patience to the family of the martyr. The CM further said that the government is always standing with the family of the martyr. Education Minister Arvind Pandey and former Health Minister Tilak Raj Behad reached the martyr's house in Kichha's Gaurikala. Family comforted. There is a sense of loss of a son in the family but he is also very proud of his son.
