'some justice received' says Rahul Gandhi on SC decision over Alok Verma's reinstatement as CBI director

New Delhi: Congress Presiden Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday welcomed the decision of Supreme court over the reinstatement of Alok Verma as CBI Director. Gandhi said that, ‘there’s some justice delivered today’.
 

Speaking to reporters Congress President said, The CBI chief was removed by PM at 1 am in the night because he was about to initiate te inquiry into the Rafale deal. Today he's been reinstated so there's some justice received.

The comment of the Gandhi came after Supreme Court on Tuesday reinstated Alok Verma as director of the Central Bureau of Investigation, setting aside the Central government decision to send him on leave.The judgment on Tuesday was penned by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi. However, the CJI didn't attend the court and the judgment was pronounced by Justices SK Kaul and KM Joseph.

The continiuing attack on PM Modi over Rafale deal Gandhi reiterated that nothing can save PM Narendra Modi from Rafale.

The Congress party had protested the removal of Alok Verma from the post of CBI chief and had alleged that the CBI special director and Rakesh Asthana, booked by his own agency on the charge of taking bribes to give relief to a businessman he was probing, is perceived to be close to Prime Minister
