Aurangabad: A shocking case has come to light from Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. An elderly woman was left in the old age home here because her son was not earning due to lockdown in the midst of corona infection. According to information received in the case, Kiran Pardikar, who was about 60 years old, lost her husband several years ago and brought up her son by stitching. Now the son left her in the old age home. Assistant Inspector of Police Ghanshyam Sonwane of Pundliknagar police station disclosed the case.

He said, "The woman's son had later set up a book stall near a court to earn a living but her work stopped last year due to lockdown. Pardikar had started living separately for some time due to fight with daughter-in-law. Her son had rented a room for her and arranged for her to have a tiffin for her. At the same time, Sonwane also said, "The woman had recently come to us to ask for help to send her to an old age home as she came to know about her son's financial condition deteriorating. We brought new clothes  for her and gave a letter to 'Matoshree Old Age Home' to keep her here. ''

On the other hand, Sagar Pagore, manager of the old age home, said, Pardikar approached her on June 11 with a police letter. Moreover, he said, "He is with us. His son also gave a letter requesting him not to keep his mother with him due to poor financial condition and keep her in the old age home". In the whole case, Kiran Pardikar says, 'He (Pardikar's son) is in a dilemma whether to take care of his wife and children or help me. He got a private job a few months ago but did not earn much there. When my son could not help me, the owner of my room helped me with grain". She also said, "The Covid-19 epidemic has adversely affected the lives of many people. People are losing jobs and the Government is not doing anything. I pray to God to keep my son happy.''
