In Lucknow, a Kalyugi son shot dead his mother Prema Yadav (45) late Friday night at The Garhi Mohalla in Gudamba. The police arrested Devendra on Sunday morning and busted the incident. Police also recovered the weapon used in the killing. The accused son killed his mother in a property-sharing dispute. A 45-year-old woman was shot in the head late Friday night in the Garhi area of Gudamba in Lucknow. When the police reached the spot, the accused son tried to escape from the spot. The police had nabbed him as a suspect.

The police had already suspected Devendra, but he was misleading the police. The accused's sister Lalwati had named Devendra before the police on the day of the incident but later retracted her statement. According to the police, the investigation revealed that Prema had sold the land and a plot at a costly price some time ago.

Devendra, who was accused of the money, was also seeking a share. While Prema was not ready for it. According to the police, Devendra was worried that no one in the house listened to him.
