New Delhi: Former Finance Minister and veteran Congress leader P. Chidambaram is facing CBI and Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation in INX Media case. Chidambaram is currently lodged in Tihar Jail. Meanwhile, on Monday i.e. on Monday, the interim president of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, reached Tihar Jail to meet Chidambaram. Before him, Karti met his father P Chidambaram in Chidambaram jail.

Recently, senior Congress leaders Ghulam Nabi Azad and Ahmed Patel met former Finance Minister P Chidambaram in Tihar Jail last week. During this, Chidambaram's son Karti Chidambaram was also present with him. According to sources, during the half-hour meeting, the leaders discussed the current political situation with Chidambaram. During this, he discussed Kashmir, the upcoming elections and the economic situation of the country.

Actually, the health of former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram is not right. Chidambaram is losing weight rapidly due to many diseases. Chidambaram's lawyer Kapil Sibal has asked the court to give medical facility and supplementary diet to Chidambaram from time to time. According to the information received from Tihar, Chidambaram, who is imprisoned in jail, is suffering from a lot of pain in his back and stomach, due to which he is neither able to sit nor lie down.
