New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi called an all-party meeting on the ongoing tension from China. In this, discussions were held with leaders of 20 political parties including Congress. In this meeting, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed all opposition leaders about the violent conflict in the Galwan Valley with China. He said that our army is fully alert on the border.

Meanwhile, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi raised many questions during the all-party meeting and said that the country is still in the dark on many issues related to the Line of Actual Control (LAC). NCP Chief Sharad Pawar said "It is decided by international agreements, whether the soldiers would carry weapons at the border or not. We should respect such sensitive issues". In the all-party meeting, Sonia Gandhi said that on 5 May when the Chinese intrusion was reported in many places including Ladakh, the government should have called an all-party meeting shortly thereafter. All stand together for the integrity and defence of the country. Also, support the decisions taken by the government.

Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi raised many questions on the government. He said that we are still in the dark about many important aspects of this dispute. Sonia Gandhi asked the government that on what day the Chinese troops infiltrated Ladakh? When did the government come to know of Chinese incursions? According to reports, the infiltration took place on May 5, is it correct or did the incursion take place after that?
