New Delhi: The Congress party on Wednesday said that party's working president Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, while former president Rahul Gandhi is yet to take the dose as he was infected with the corona virus in May. A senior party functionary said Rahul Gandhi was supposed to get the vaccine done on May 16, but a day before that he was found infected with corona virus.
A senior leader said interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi has taken both doses of the vaccine. Rahul Gandhi will get vaccinated after his mandatory waiting period is over. The Congress party's statement comes after BJP leaders questioned whether top Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, had got the vaccine. He also asked these leaders to make public the details of the vaccination.
On Wednesday, BJP speaker Sambit Patra said that the kind of confusion that the Congress party has spread today by its spokesperson Pawan Kheda through social media and press conferences on the covaccine made in India is a great sin. Patra said that in his press conference, Pawan Kheda and National Convenor of Congress Social Media Gaurav Pandhi have alleged that covaxin contains serum of cow calf. which has been rejected by the Government
