Sonu Sood will soon be seen in JP Dutta's War film Paltan. The film's story opens the pages of history when the Nathula military clashed on Sikkim Border in 1967. Sonu Sood has done many films related to history even before this film. Sonu was seen in the role of Bhagat Singh in his debut film. Sonu Sood said that there is some connection with his history. Sonu explains, "My mother is a professor of English and History and she has a great library, mother always used to say, this is my book, my heritage and I must take care of it."

In the context of the film Paltan, Sonu also believes that any incident of history occurs twice, once it is an Actual Incident and once it is told. Sonu says, "Its story was not told yet and I am happy that JP Sir chose this story and through this, we will get the story on the curtains of cinema."

As an actor, we do work hard on a war film, a movie made on my own military brothers. Those who fight off leaving their family, live in these conditions for the rest of their life, and it is a matter of the best thing to do in their role. The career of an actor is fulfilled only when he plays the role of a soldier. Sonu believes that if anyone has the right to make a film in Bollywood, then it is only JP Dutta.

The film platoon is being released on September 7. Apart from Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Gurmeet Chaudhary, Harshvardhan Rane and Katha Kapoor will be seen in the lead role in this film. With power-packed performances, this film promises to tell the biggest and unknown story of Indian soldiers, who fought this war with their brothers till the end.
