The Income Tax Department's raid continues its third consecutive tune at six locations including the house and office of famous Bollywood superstar Sonu Sood. Sources claimed that the Income Tax Department has received reports of tax malpractices in a personal finance-related case in the raid. Irregularities have also been found in the money Sonu had taken for the shooting. Thereafter, the income tax and section is also investigating the accounts of Sonu's Charity Foundation.
It is being said that the action may end today and then the Department can hold a press conference and make public the information related to the matter. Income Tax teams are investigating Sonu's account books, income, expenses, and financial records. After a short break on Thursday morning, the investigating team is continuously scanning records at his Mumbai and Lucknow locations.
The same Income Tax department officials have also questioned Sonu's family and staff present at his house. The officers have also taken some files with them from his house. Sonu helped thousands of people in the corona epidemic. He also has an NGO, called the Sood Charity Foundation. This NGO works on healthcare, education, job, and technical advancement. The Income Tax officers have conducted an inquiry here also. According to reports, the Income Tax Department is "investigating a real estate deal." On August 27, the Delhi government made Sonu the brand ambassador of a program related to school children.
