He has written a book recalling his experience of helping migrant labourers. The title of this book is 'I'm No Messiah'. Sonu told in a conversation on writing the book, "It has become very special because I never felt that one day, I will do something, on which a book will be written on me, where I share my experiences I can share all those moments where I connected with millions of people around the world. "
He said, "Now I am putting everything on the paper sheet. My mother, who was a professor, has always asked me to write about my experiences. She used to say that whenever you find something special, must write because she will always be with you. With so many things happening, you forget those experiences, but you can always refresh yourself through those pages." Talking about Sonu's work, he has now refused to play the role of Villain.
