Bollywood film actor Sonu Sood refused to join any political party ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Punjab. However, Sood said his sister Malvika will enter politics. Sonu Sood said no decision has yet been taken on which party his sister Malvika will attend.

The same Sonu Sood, with the intention of joining politics, said that his family is interested in education and health and wants to serve the people of Punjab. However, Sonu Sood said he could join any organisation that would give him the freedom to work for the people.

At the same time, he said, "I will join any forum where there is the freedom to work and without restrictions." This forum can be political and non-political. When asked which party Malvika Sood would join, Sonu Sood said, "The party is not important but policy. My sister will serve the people and society.'' However, he said, both Congress and Aam Aadmi Party parties are good. Sonu Sood had recently met Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi. Sonu Sood said he will also meet Shiromani Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Badal in the near future. Sonu Sood appealed to the public to support his sister.
