Today is the 57th birthday of famous actress Sonu Walia, who created a special identity in Hindi cinema in the 80s and 90s through a brilliant performance. Sonu was born on 19 February 1964 in a Punjabi family in Delhi. Even though Sonu has now moved away from Bollywood, at one time everyone used to be crazy about her. Sonu was fond of living a glamorous life from the beginning. Sonu tried her luck at the Miss India Competition and the stars of her luck shone here. In the year 1985, Sonu crowned Miss India.

After winning the crown of Miss India, Sonu wanted to try her luck in films, and then she got a role in the film 'Khoon Bhari Mang' in 1988 and Sonu made her Bollywood debut with this film. After this, Sonu appeared in 'Akarshan' in the year 1988. Sonu gave bold scenes in this film. It was not easy to give such bold scenes at that time, but she did those on the banks of the waterfall without being shy, after which she became famous.

Till now Sonu has worked in many films like 'Dil Aashna Hai', 'Khel', 'Swarg Jaise Ghar', 'Reservation', 'Apna Desh Paraye Logan', and 'Tehelka', but in these films, no such success was achieved. After this, Sonu also started working in B-grade films. Yes, but she proved to be a failure even in B-grade films, after which she made a distance from the film industry.
