Today, the Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo presented the summer collection of smartphones. One of the most notable new products was the compact smartphone Sony Xperia Ace. In the first leaks, it appeared as the Xperia XZ4 Compact, but in fact, is not at all a simplified version of the flagship. This is a middle-class smartphone based on a not very modern Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset. But it’s really small: the screen diagonal is 5 ″ with a resolution of 2160x1080 pixels (18: 9), the case dimensions are 140 x 67 x 9.3 mm. There is Side Sense - a special menu that opens by touching the edges of the screen and gives quick access to selected applications and settings (first appeared on the Xperia XZ3).

Both cameras in the Sony Xperia Ace are single and are based on fairly simple Exmor R sensors (and not Exmor RS, commonly used in flagships). The resolution of the rear camera is 12 megapixels, front - 8 megapixels. Each of the cameras has its own feature: the optical stabilization system is built into the main one, and the selfie module has a capture angle of 120 degrees. Other features include a 2700 mAh battery, Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory, NFC support, a USB Type-C port, a fingerprint scanner in the power button and IP65 / 68 protection. The novelty will be available in Japan in white, black and light purple colors.
