Newly launched smartphone, Sony Xperia XA led to the expansion of ony Xperia X series with Sony confirming that the smartphone's global release is planned. The pricing and availability details of the phone have not been revealed yet but are expected to reveal them during the local launch. The phone measures 164.2x79.4x8.4mm and weighs 190 grams.

What differentiates this phone from other Sony phones is that it provides the users with a 16 megapixel front camera that packs Sony Exmor R for Mobile sensor and also included front-facing flash. This single sim phone has 21.5-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS for mobile sensor, quick launch, hybrid autofocus, HDR photo, auto-scene recognition, and LED flash. The front camera includes features such as OIS (optical image stabilisation), auto-focus, wide angle lens (up to 88 degrees), and HDR photo.

Other prominent features of the phone include 6-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) screen and sports Mobile BRAVIA engine 2. The cellphone offers 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB storage with expandable storage upto 200 GBs via micro SD card. This new phone comes with 4G LTE and supports LTE Cat. 4 download speeds. Apart from 4G, it supports GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Wi-Fi Miracast, Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA, NFC, and Micro-USB.It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor.

The handset will be available in white, black and lime gold colours. It it to have 2700mAh battery which is said to deliver up to 2 days of battery life. With its listing, the smartphone might help users with fast charging. For the Xperia Ultra, Sony has also come up with some additional accessories like Style Cover Flip SCR60, Style Cover SBC34, and Style Cover SBC32 .
