New Delhi: Yamaha RX 100 is one of the best bike available with great performance. The Yamaha RX100 attracted the maximum number of enthusiasts in India.

According to Yamaha India President Ishin Chihana, the motorcycle is currently set to make a comeback. Chihana revealed to a publication the firm's hope of reviving the RX100 brand.

While he also noted the error in designing the BS6-compliant engine, he also revealed that the name tag will be given to an upcoming model, inspiring to revive the original bike with a contemporary flair.

Yamaha RX 100 is a street bike which is expected to be released in India in January 2025. It is expected to be priced between Rs. 1,40,000 and Rs. 1,50,000.

The Yamaha RX100 can still shine as a presentation-wrapped 100cc bike (if and only if Yamaha controls to cram as many horses into the engine with strict discharge norms in a sea of run-of-the-mill traveler motorcycles .

Additionally, Yamaha stated that the company has a strategy and that developing a motorbike of this caliber "cannot be a quick plan/decision" and instead it has to be "an impressive package with a powerful engine and design."

While the prospect of a modern Yamaha RX100 is exciting, launching it after so many years might not be a wise move as the market would have shifted to electric bikes and scooters by then.

In order to work under real-world conditions, ICE vehicles must meet target emissions levels that Yamaha calculates. To be clear, it is possible that even BS7 standards will be in use by 2026.

Apart from stricter emission regulations, lithium-ion batteries will become less expensive due to their wider use, which should help Yamaha decide to make the RX100 an electric vehicle in the future.

The 98cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine in the RX100 produced 11PS at 7500 rpm. The company claimed that 0-60 kmph acceleration was possible in 7.5 seconds.

Due to its unwavering dependability and low price tag at that time, the Yamaha RX100 was a no brainer for the enthusiasts. It was in fact one of the most popular two-stroke vehicles in India until Yamaha replaced it with the RX-G.
