KOLKATA :   Big news is coming now that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly’s wife is admitted to Woodlands Hospital.  Dona is infected with Chikungunya. She  is undergoing treatment under the supervision of Dr. Saptarshi Bose. As of last night, Donna’s condition is said to be comparatively better. However, Behala’s house is haunted by anxiety due to Sourav’s wife’s illness.

She reportedly had a cough and throat ache for the previous four days. She was brought to a city hospital right away as her symptoms worsened on Tuesday night, and there it was determined that she had the chikungunya virus.

Snehasish Ganguly, Ganguly's older brother, told the reporters, however, that she had been stable since Wednesday morning and that everyone in the family was with her. Alongside his wife, the BCCI president was present at the hospital. Sana Ganguly, their daughter, is currently enrolled in school in London.

For her care, a medical staff led by renowned doctor Saptarshi Basu has been assembled.

About Dona Ganguly: Mrs. Ganguly began learning dance from Amala Shankar when she was just a 3-year-old. Later, she relocated to Odissi while being watched over by Guru Giridhari Nayek. Under Kelucharan Mohapatra's direction, she made the most remarkable progress as a dancer. When her career was only getting started, Mohapatra frequently joined her and Pakhavaj in numerous programmes. Dona has since performed at a number of significant events all around the world.
