‘Alo Chhaya’ fame Bengali actor Sourya Bhattacharya is going to start a new journey. He is now going to play the lead role in the upcoming television show ‘Agnishikha’. Sourya is a sociology graduate from St. Xavier's College ad later he pursued his passion about acting. He played an important role in Debadrita Basu, Oindrila Bose and Arnab Banerjee starrer show ‘Alo Chhaya’.

The actor is very excited about his new journey. In the new show ‘Agnishikha’, Sourya is going to play the role of Bikram, who is the son of a rich and powerful industrialist. According to the character, he is an honest and responsible guy. Bikram meets a tribal girl named Shikha. Later, as per the twist, both got married in the story. Bikram and Shikha’s life takes a new turn while his family doesn’t accept Shikha.

Actress Aratrika Maity is going to play the role of Shikha in this show. Apart from ‘Agnishikha’, a number of other shows are about to launch. Shows like Abhishek Bose and Sohini Guha Roy starrer ‘Gangaram’, family-drama ‘Desher Mati’ are set to premiere. The second season of reality show ‘Dance Dance Junior’ is also in the pipeline. This will also feature Dev and Monami Ghosh alongside veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty.
