New Delhi: Africa is the most dangerous than any other country in the world in terms of driving, while India ranks fourth. This research has been done by zutobi, an international driver training company. The research covers a total of 56 countries and the most dangerous countries in terms of driving is Thailand at the second position after South Africa and the Third is America. According to the study, the safest roads are in Norway followed by Japan and Sweden at the third position.
"We studied all countries on the basis of five facts. Each of them gave general marks out of 10 for all the facts, and later averaged out the last digit based on all five facts,'' these facts included facts such as road death in every 100,000 population, percentage of people sitting in the next seat of the vehicle wearing seat belts and death by accident due to alcohol consumption. The data is based on the Global Health Observatory data of the World Health Organization.
The data in zutobi's research has been challenged by Justice Project SA (JPSA). It is an NGO that serves to improve road traffic rules in South Africa. JPSA President Howard Dembowski said it would not be right to include South Africa among the world's worst countries in this phase. He said that zutobi has used old data for this research.
