Popular boy K-pop band BTS captured billions of heart and now, the group has been named as the entertainer of the year by Time magazine on Thursday, capping a breakthrough year in the United States for the South Korean boy band. In 2013, the seven-member band had made its debut and from the debut the band has just grown into becoming one of the world`s most popular music group.

The upbeat dancing songs, adoring army of fans, and positive non-controversial messages contribute to the success. The band got the first major Grammy Award nomination for a K-pop band last month and earlier this summer, its English-language single 'Dynamite' was release which was an instant hit. The song went on to debut at No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. In the profile wrote up of the band, Time writer Raisa Bruner wrote, "BTS isn`t just the biggest K-pop act on the charts. They`ve become the biggest band in the world - full stop". 

"And they did it in a year defined by setbacks, one in which the world hit pause and everyone struggled to maintain their connections". "Continues to Reign as Most Tweeted About Musicians" in the United States for a fourth straight year, informs the Twitter. BTS will performed on Thursday in a television special when Time magazine`s Person of the Year will be announced.
