South Korean President Moon Jae-in returns after 3-nation trip

Moon Jae-in, the president of South Korea, arrived back  in the nation on Saturday after a three-nation tour to the Middle East, where he focused on expanding economic and defence relations.

According to media reports, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a preliminary agreement to sell Seoul's midrange surface-to-air missiles to the Persian Gulf nation. This is the latest indicator of the two countries' growing defence cooperation.

Moon met with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in Dubai and inked the agreement. He met with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, and the two decided to collaborate in areas related to the hydrogen economy.
