Buying gold during Dhanteras and Diwali is considered very auspicious. In every family in the country, this festival season is the practice of purchasing gold but on a very small scale. Many people buy gold in terms of investment. Meanwhile, the eighth series of the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme will open for subscription on November 9. Investments in this bond can be made till November 13. The price of gold for this gold bond has been fixed at Rs 5,177 per gram. The Reserve Bank of India issued a statement on Friday and informed about this.

The statement issued by the RBI states, "The nominal value of the bond has been set at Rs. 5,177 per gram as per the simple average of the closing price published by the India Bullion and Jewelers Association of 999 quality gold." The government has decided to give a discount of 50 rupees per gram to those applying online for this bond and paying through digital means.

RBI said, "The issue price of gold bonds for such investors will be Rs. 5,127 per gram." Earlier, the gold price in the seventh series of gold bonds was 5,051 per gram. The RBI issues sovereign gold bonds on behalf of the Indian government. Indian citizens living in India, Hindu undivided families, trusts, universities and charitable institutions can purchase this bond. Under this scheme, you can purchase at least one gram of gold.
