SP MLC Pushpraj Jain evaded tax of 150 crores?

Lucknow:Raids on several hideouts of S Majwadi Party (SP) leader Pushparaj Jain are suspected to have evaded tax worth Rs 150 crore. Officials belonging to the Income Tax Department have informed in this regard. On December 31, 2021, income tax department officials raided other locations in the country including Mumbai, Gujarat, Kanpur, Lucknow and Kannauj. According to IT sources, about 50 hideouts were raided.
 
According to sources, Pushparaj Jain had a joint venture with Mumbai business land Developer. They both worked together. Preliminary investigations have revealed that tax evasion worth Rs 150 crore is suspected. IT department officials suspect that more tax evasion can be detected after analyzing documents and files seized in Friday, Saturday searches.  In UP too, the Income Tax Department has also conducted searches at some places in Delhi-NCR involving SP MLC Pampi Jain and his associates.

Sources said the scrutiny of the recovered documents will be completed today. Meanwhile, the Income Tax department team arrived at Atul Jain, younger brother of Samajwadi Party (SP) MLC Pushparaj Jain, located in Tilak Nagar, Kanpur on Monday. Atul Jain lives in Flat No.503, Ratan Presidency. IT team also brought perfume businessman Pampi Jain with them. The team of the IT department has questioned the two face to face here.
