Ongole: On the occasion of Martyr Commemoration Week in Prakasam District, SP Malika Garg of Prakasam District inaugurated the open house and SP told the students about the importance of Police Martyrs Memorial Week. He told them about the weapons, protective gear, equipment used by the police as part of their duty in maintaining law and order and investigating cases.
They displayed some of the exhibits including Towing Vehicle, Bulletproof Vehicle, Communication Vehicle, 207-Vajra Vehicle, Various Weapons and their Spare Parts, Metal Detector, Dragon Light, Rocket Launcher, Bomb Disposal Equipment, Fingerprint Recognition Network System (FINS). Police Control Room Equipment, Communication Man Pack Set, Dog Squad, Cell Jammer, AK-47, 9mm Glock Pistol, 303 Light Machine Gun, Rubber Bullet, Bomb Blanket and Disha Vehicle Direction App, Traffic Rules and Symbols etc and their working students .
The SP announced that they are organizing a GRACE cancer awareness rally on October 24, and will conduct cancer-related tests free of cost to police personnel, their families and the public. He said that they would also organize a 5K run, essay writing and painting competition for the students for the public as part of the Police Commemoration Week. He announced that an open house would be organized in the local police stations, circle offices and sub-divisional offices of the district on Saturday.
