Mayor Tame Phassang of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation urged that construction work on Packages B and C (Papu Nallah to Banderdewa) of the 4-lane national highway (NH-415) be completed as soon as possible.

Mayor Phassang expressed his anger with the delay and asked the state government to place enterprises on a blacklist that are unable to complete the work after winning bids. Meanwhile, executive engineer Bini Pelen of the PWD (highway) Nirjuli division announced that the major construction process would begin on February 14 and that rehabilitation work from Naharlagun to Nirjuli has already begun.
