SpiceJet announced on Monday that, beginning April 26, it will launch new and extra nonstop flights on its domestic and international routes to accommodate current and emerging demand.

The flights, which will be introduced in stages, would connect Ahmedabad with Muscat, Mumbai with Dhaka, Calicut with Jeddah and Riyadh, and Mumbai with Riyadh and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, according to SpiceJet. On the domestic network, new flights will be launched from Ahmedabad to Goa, Bagdogra, and Shirdi, while Tirupati and Guwahati will be connected to Mumbai, according to the statement.

SpiceJet added that frequencies on the Delhi-Jabalpur, Delhi-Leh, Ahmedabad-Dehradun, Hyderabad-Shirdi, Mumbai-Goa, and Mumbai-Srinagar routes will be increased in addition to this service. It added that reservations for all new and additional flights are now open.

"With the economy recovering from the pandemic, this will assist us in expanding our influence in the aviation business both nationally and globally." The flights announced on Monday comprise a combination of industry firsts, new routes, and increased frequencies, with destinations both domestic and foreign.

"Along with improving ease for general travellers, tourism and the local economy on these routes would benefit greatly, as many of them are key religious and leisure travel destinations," said Shilpa Bhatia, SpiceJet's Chief Commercial Officer.
