The Russian corona vaccine has Sputnik V in the Indian market. A statement issued by apollo group of hospitals today said that it is going to roll out the vaccine. The vaccine will be available at Apollo Group hospitals from the second week of June. This includes a vaccine price of Rs.995 and an administration charge of Rs.200.
According to the report received, Apollo Group Executive Vice President Shobhana Kamayani said that so far 10 lakh corona doses have been administered with the help of hospitals located at 80 locations. The vaccination drive is being prominently involved in the vaccination drive, fontline workers, high risk people and corporate employees. The capacity will be expanded in the month of June and 10 lakh people will be vaccinated every week. The capacity will be doubled in July. Apollo Group aims to complete vaccination of 20 million i.e. 20 million people by September 2021 at its centres.
According to the report, India and Russia together have set a target of producing 35-40 million doses of sputnik vaccine every month by August-September. On May 24, Sputnik vaccine maker RDIF tied up with Indian Pharma company Panacea Biotec for vaccine production at the local level. Sputnik vaccine has been allowed as india's third vaccine. Emergency use has been allowed by the Subject Expert Committee.
