New Delhi: Dr. Reddy Laboratories Limited, which is producing Russia's Sputnik-V vaccine in India, hopes to start receiving the vaccine in September-October. MV Raman, CEO of major markets of pharmaceutical giant Dr. Reddy, said that new corona cases in Russia are increasingly delaying the arrival of Sputnik-V supplements in India and the situation could recover by the end of August.

He told reporters that "Local manufacturers are currently in the process of adopting technology and increasing production. We hope to start getting the Sputnik-V vaccine made in India in September-October.' Dr. Reddy Lab actually tied up with Russia's Direct Investment Fund for The Production of Sputnik-V in India in May 2021.

At the same time, Russia's Direct Investment Fund has tied up with 6 Indian pharmaceutical maker companies to produce the Sputnik-V vaccine. Under this agreement, Dr. Reddy will sell the first 12.5 crore doses of this vaccine in India. Raman said the Sputnik-V vaccine was vaccinated in 80 cities across India and 2.5 lakh people have been administered the dose so far. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, more than 44.58 crores doses of the anti-corona vaccine have been administered in the country.
