New Delhi: India is soon going to get another major weapon against the corona epidemic. The construction of Russia's Sputnik-V (Sputnik V) will begin in august this year in the country. India's Ambassador to Russia DB Venkatesh Verma has informed about the same. He has said that by September-October, India will produce 85 crore (850 million) doses of Sputnik-V.
Verma said india will produce 65 to 70 per cent of the world's Sputnik-V (Sputnik-V). He said russia will export it to other countries after India's requirements are met. In addition to covishiled, covaccine, Sputnik-V is the third vaccine of corona, which has been approved for emergency use in India. He said the corona situation in the country is coming under control. India is also in touch with Russia over black fungus to order medicines for the treatment of the disease.
Russia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), funds the vaccine. More importantly, it has signed an agreement with five companies in India to produce it. India has so far received 2,10,000 doses of sputnik-V. By the end of May, there will be another 30 lakh doses which can be filled and used. The number will increase to 50 lakh doses by June.
