There are many stories about Lord Vishnu that all of you may have heard before, but today we'll tell you about an incident where Lord Vishnu took Varaha Avatar and killed a demon.

Story - There were two gatekeepers named Jai and Vijay in the Vaikunth Dham. Once, Sankadi Yogishwar went to the Vaikunthdham to meet Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi. Mahabali Jai and Vijay stopped him in the middle and treated him indecent. Sankadi got angry and in anger, he cursed the gatekeepers Jai and Vijay, His words were- " You both will return to Bhulok and you both will take birth as a demon.  Because of the curse to the gatekeepers, Kashyap Rishi and his wife Diti had two great sons named Hiranyaksh and Hiranyakashipu. The tendencies of both were extremely devilish and they had acquired immense powers by pleasing Brahmaji with hard penance.

There was terror because Hiranyaksh can take any shape and can change his size accordingly. He uprooted this earth with thousands of arms, including mountains, seas, islands, and all beings and kept it on his head and hid it in the abyss. The terror of the Hiranyaksh raised day by day. Due to the terror of Hiranyaksha, all the gods, the people of the earth were devastated. The monster also conquered the lord Indra and challenged the water god Varun Dev for battle. Hearing about Hiranyaksh, Varundev said, "There is no one stronger in this world than Lord Vishnu. If you want to prove your superiority, beat Vishnu," he said. Hearing this, Hiranyaksh became angry and began to run around in search of Lord Hari. It was then that Narad Muni told him that Lord Vishnu had taken Varah' Avatar.

Paryushan Parv: The best way to get rid of anger, greed, and purification!

His body is blue and as hard as a mountain and he has arrow-shaped hooves. The eyes were glowing fiery red. Lord Vishnu raised the earth out of the abyss. Hiranyaksha saw a giant Varaha lifting the earth on the teeth. The demon attacked Varaha God with his mace. After a fight, Lord Vishnu cut the demon in half with his Sudarshan Chakra. After this, Lord Varaha freed the three worlds by bringing the earth out of the abyss as before and setting it again on the Sheshnag.
