India observes Independence Day on the 15th of August each year to remember the nation's liberation and to pay tribute to the heroes who fought the British Empire for freedom. India gained independence from the British colonial power on August 15, 1947. Every year, the nation celebrates this year with great joy and pride. To recognise the sacrifices and contributions made by our freedom fighters, we raise our national flag and sing the National Anthem.

As India celebrates its 75th Independence Day this year with the same enthusiasm and zeal, let's take a look at celebs wishing everyone on this wonderful occasion.

Ankit Gupta

Ankit Gupta, who plays Fateh Virk in Udaariyaan, recalls his childhood Independence Day celebrations with his schoolmates. The ceremony for hoisting the flag used to be conducted first, then everyone would sing the National Anthem together. We celebrate the day with a lot of zeal on the "Udaariyaan" sets as well, and everyone dresses in tricolour attire. I would like to wish everyone a "Happy Independence Day" on this auspicious occasion.

Sangita Ghosh

"Independence Day every year holds a special significance in my life as it takes me to my childhood memories when everyone used to gather for a flag hoisting ceremony in our school," says Sangita Ghosh, who plays the role of Swaran Bedi in Swaran Ghar. We have a day off on the "Swaran Ghar" sets, and I can't wait to visit my daughter Devi and share this special occasion with her. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of our great national leaders because it is thanks to their bravery that my daughter Devi and children like her are able to grow up in an independent, progressive country. I think that having freedom comes with obligations, and that one should not take their freedom for granted. I wish our nation takes a step forward to attain victory in every respect this year and in many more years to come. My hearty wishes to all the citizens of the country. Jai Hind.

Sriti Jha

Khatron Ke Khiladi 12 participant Sriti Jha said, "On this 75th Independence Day, I pay my solace to all those who fight at the border for the safety of citizens, to the health workers, and to all those who make the country a harmonious and peaceful place to live in."

Neil Bhatt

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein fame Neil Bhatt took to his social media handle and posted a video clip with the Tricolour flag. In the caption, he wrote, “Happy 75th Independence Day” #harghartiranga #tricolor".

Karan Kundrra

Karan Kundrra took to his social media handle and shared a picture of the tricolor flag on his Instagram story in respect to the joyous occasion of 75th Independence Day. Karan Kundrra recently spoke about the 75th Independence Day: Independence Day isn't just for watching patriotic movies and indulging in tricolour treats, according to Karan Kundrra. He doesn't support superficial tokenism. "I don't observe any specific traditions on July 4th. I won't indulge in tricolour specials at home or watch the same patriotic movie every year just for the sake of it. I prefer to spend the day in front of documentaries about the country's geopolitical and economic situation. I would like to watch or read about the nation's infrastructure development, our upcoming major projects, and our space footprints. I'm interested in that, he declares.

Niti Taylor

Niti Taylor took to her Instagram handle and shared a post wishing everyone "Happy Independence Day".
