These days, Kolkata International Movie Festival is talked about everywhere. The festival has started on Friday. Where Shahrukh Khan joined in a digital way. Many artists of Bengali movie industry including West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee were involved in this innovation event. Shah Rukh Khan who is the brand ambassador of Bengal was associated here via video call. He entertained everyone a lot. As far as this is known since 2011 Shah Rukh Khan is being a part of this event.
According to media reports, Shah Rukh Khan could not reach here due to Covid-19. Veteran film director Anubhav Sinha also attended the event as a guest. At the beginning of the show, Mamata Didi had a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan and she also knew about his condition. In response, Shah Rukh said, "Yes Ami Bhalo, good, very good." Not only this, King Khan has demanded an apology from her for not attending the event due to pandemic. Shahrukh said, "I am very heartened that I would have been there. But all I can say from here is that I love all of you and Bengal very much. Mamata Di, I am missing you and I want to hug you. Inshallah when I come next time, which will be very soon, I will take two to four extras. "
Shahrukh made more headlines by saying this. Mamata didi finally told King Khan that don't forget to come on Rakhi. In response, Shah Rukh Khan also agreed. According to reports, the KIFF for the year 2021 has resulted in 1170 entries due to Covid-19, 132 of which are feature films and documentaries. The festival started with Sumitra Chatterjee's world-famous film Apur Sansar. The films selected at the movie festival will be screened in different theatres in cities such as Nandan, Rabindra Sadan, Shishir Manch and Kolkata Information Center. During this, Mamata Banerjee appeared very happy.
