Ali Peter John is an known film journalist whose book on Amitabh Bachchan is recently launched by Amitabh himself. He met with a road accident in Mumbai and sustained a serious injury.
Says source, " The journalist John was crossing near Yari road when a water tanker ran over his left leg and crushed his toe. He was taken to Cooper Hospital then advised to take Nanavati Hospital."
"He was operated on Saturday night but there is no blood circulation in his left toe. Doctors said his toes had become septic, so they are going to carry out an amputation surgery on Friday," John's wife Usha told on asking.
"The cost of the operation would be around Rs 5 lakh, for which Shahrukh Khan's team has approached John offering assistance," Usha added.
