SSC has finally released SSC CGL notification 2017 for 3805 vacancies with some major changes in the exam pattern. This year, SSC CGL Tier I exam will take place from 5th-Aug to 24th Aug 2017. Candidates who qualify in CGL Tier, they shall be eligible to appear in Tier 2.
Candidates who qualify in CGL Tier 2, they shall be eligible to appear in both Tier 3 and Tier 4. You can also see the previous year SSC CGL cut off for an idea of how much score you need to qualify.
Final merit of SSC CGL exam will be based on cumulative marks of Tier 1, 2 and 3.
Tier 4 is of qualifying nature and mandatory for CSS/MEA/ Tax Assistant posts.

The new exam pattern for SSC CGL will remain same as of the previous exam. However, there are few major changes. SSC has Reduced the time limit for examination of SSC CGL Tier-I from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.
SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2017
As per official notification of SSC CGL 2017, in order to be eligible for the exam, a candidate should possess following –
Minimum age of the Candidate should be 18 years and Maximum age is 30 years as on 01.08.2017
Minimum Educational Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by the Central Government on or before 01.08.2017
Degree obtained through open Distance Education or Open University mode like IGNOU, needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council Accordingly.
Candidates who will not acquire the educational qualification as on 01-08-2017 will not be eligible and need not apply.
Earlier the Age limit of SSC CGL Exam was 18-27 years. From SSC CGL 2017 the upper age limit has been changed and it is increased to 30 years.
