Kolkata: The troubles of Partha Chatterjee, a minister in the Mamata Banerjee government who was caught in the West Bengal school recruitment scam case, are not taking the name of abating. On Monday (July 25, 2022), AIIMS in Bhubaneswar refused to admit him to the hospital after examining him, following which the Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials brought him to their office on Tuesday (July 26, 2022).
Earlier, the special court of the Calcutta High Court had rejected Parth's bail plea after hearing his case. He was also remanded in ED custody for 10 days. The court had also granted the custody of his very special Arpita Mukherjee to the ED till August 3. The court had held that the things shown by the investigating agency to the court show that the allegations were highly bayonet. According to reports, during the ED investigation, Arpita's house where she was searched, they recovered Rs 21 crore in cash and gold ornaments and foreign exchange etc. At the same time, in the search of Parth's house, many admit cards and a list of candidates have been found.
Parth is alleged to have provided school jobs to 10 relatives of his Medinipur-based bodyguard Vishram Mandal, including his two brothers Bansagopal and Devgopal. After which these recruitments were discussed everywhere. For this reason, Vishram, despite being a bodyguard, had stopped coming and going to Parth's house for a few days. According to the information, the court has also asked these people to file affidavits in the matter. The petitioner's lawyer Sudipto Dasgupta said, "The court has also asked those who have got jobs to file affidavits in the SSC scam case. The affidavit is to be filed by August 17.''
