Stalin writes to kin of deceased in Copter crash expressing condolence

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin personally wrote to the families of the Defense personnel killed in the Coonoor chopper crash on Friday, expressing his condolences. He told them in separate letters that everyone was with the families at this difficult period.

General Bipin Rawat, the Chief of Defence Staff, his wife, and 11 people were killed when the chopper bringing them to Wellington in the state's Nilgiris region crashed near Coonoor on Wednesday. Stalin rushed to Coonoor quickly after learning of the accident and paid floral respects to the deceased on Thursday.

According to the state administration, all arrangements were made during the rescue operations and then during the transportation of the deceased's lifeless remains, which were eventually transported from Coimbatore to Delhi. "Furthermore, the chief minister wrote to the families of the Defense soldiers killed in the tragedy today, expressing his heartfelt condolences and remorse."

"He said everyone was by their side during this difficult time and that, while their loss is irreparable, he wished they had the strength to heal," according to the announcement.
