USA: The satellite internet business owned by SpaceX, which is run by Elon Musk, is booming.
Starshield, a Starlink-related project that the company has now made public, is intended for use by government organisations, particularly those engaged in national security.

By concentrating on three areas, namely Earth observation, hosted payloads, and communications, the company claims that Starshield "leverages SpaceX's Starlink technology and launch capability" to support security initiatives.

With over 3,200 active satellites, SpaceX's Starlink is a massive constellation that offers broadband internet access to numerous users on Earth.

The business has now made the decision to use it to support the defence industry. Compared to its sister, Starshield is more pressure-resistant and secure.

According to the company's website, Starshield launches "satellites with sensing payloads," and the user receives the processed data immediately.

Communications between the satellites and the users on the ground are "guaranteed" thanks to its reliable user equipment.
Additionally, it produces satellite buses that can handle even the most difficult customer payload missions.

Users have flexibility thanks to the modular design of Starshield satellites, which can accommodate a wide range of payloads.
They can communicate with other satellites that have Starlink's laser communications terminal.

They can come together to form a network. Starshield, according to the company, uses "additional high-assurance cryptographic capability to host classified payloads and process data securely" and provides "superior security to Starlink."

With its "full-stack approach," which it uses, SpaceX can quickly develop anything from launch vehicles to user terminals. As a result, the deployment process is quick.

The low-Earth orbit architecture that Starshield has developed quickly "provides inherent resiliency and constant connectivity to on-orbit assets."
