Commissioner Manoj Mishra, who was retiring from nearly 36 years of administrative service on Saturday, has been among the few officials who started the administrative service with the start of the Ram Mandir movement and executed the supreme decision that preempted the country's biggest controversy before retirement. Played an important role in making it happen. Manoj Mishra, who took his responsibilities seriously and kept away from publicity, left an indelible mark with Mandalayukta as the receiver of Ramlala's acquired campus.

For your information, tell us how Manoj Mishra faced the circumstances and what he experienced during this time, Jagran talked to him in detail in this context.

In response to a question, he told that in June 2017 I came to Ayodhya as a Mandalayukta. By that time, the state government had changed. There was also a BJP government at the center. In such a situation, everyone was trying to reach quick decision. It was expected that soon the path of judgment would be paved and its culmination came out with the decision on November 9. On October 16, the regular hearing in the Supreme Court was completed. On November 17, the then CJI Ranjan Gogoi was to retire. In such a situation, it was understood that the decision would come in the meantime. In the meantime, we got a fair opportunity for preparation.

In what form were the preparations?

We were searching for people from all sides, communicating with them and wanted to make sure that whatever the decision came, it should be accepted. It was pleasant that all the parties agreed that whatever decision of the Supreme Court will be accepted by them.
