New Delhi: The country's largest public sector bank SBI said it is going to change the service charge for basic savings accounts from July 1. This includes issuing chequebooks and non-financial tasks in addition to ATM withdrawals. The new charge of State Bank of India will be applicable only to BSBD accounts.

The limit for free cash transactions for basic saving accounts has now been increased to 4. This includes both withdrawals from the bank and withdrawals from ATM. After that, each withdrawal will be charged Rs. 15. This charge will be charged on withdrawals from both ATM and branch. BSBD accounts will be provided free of cost to the customer by the bank. It has a fiscal limit then will pay a separate fee for the chequebook. However, NEFT, IMPS, RTGS transaction is completely free.

If a customer takes a 10-page chequebook in addition to 10 free cheque books in a financial year, it will cost Rs. 40. It will cost Rs. 75 for 25 pages. The emergency service will cost Rs 50 for 10 pages. These charges include GST separately. There is no charge for senior citizens. The bank issues RuPay cards with BSBD account. It is free of cost.
