State Governments' negligence on Corona, did not conduct Covid-19 test for every passenger from abroad

New Delhi: In the last two months, a case of gross negligence in the Coronavirus investigation of people who came to India from abroad has come to light. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba has written a letter to the principal secretaries of states and union territories, saying that in the last two months, 15 lakh passengers came to India from abroad, but not all of them have been investigated corona. There is a big difference in the reports of people investigating Corona and the number of total passengers.

Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba has told the state governments that in the last two months more than 1.5 million people have come to India from abroad and there seems to be a big difference in the number of returning travelers and the actual number of people under surveillance on suspicion of Coronavirus infection. In a letter sent to the chief secretaries of all states and union territories, Gauba said that the difference or lack of monitoring of all travelers from abroad could severely affect the government's efforts to prevent coronavirus infection because many others of those returning from countries have been found to be coronavirus positive.

Rajiv Gauba wrote in the letter that the Bureau of Immigration has collected reports from 18 January 2020 to 23 March 2020 from states and union territories detailing the coronavirus investigation of people from abroad. There is a difference between this report and the total number of travelers to India.
