Guwahati: The state government is planning to open public places from the first week of September. "We will open schools, colleges and want to start buses, if people do not follow the COVID19 protocol, then we will be back in the state of complete lockdown. Might have to go." Addressing the public at a function recently, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

"We will try to open more from the first week of September. As we ease restrictions, I request everyone to follow the rules and regulations," he said. With regard to the ongoing vaccine campaign in HC Assam, he said, "The availability of vaccine has increased after the recent visit of Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya".

 Minister said, "We have been able to vaccinate around 50 lakh people this month itself. I am sure we will be able to provide 50 lakh more next. Coming month. For this month, we have already provided 61 lakh vaccines and we still have few days left. I request the people of Assam to come forward and take the second dose of the COVID19 vaccine. We are not safe until we take it. second dose. All steps have been taken to ensure that everyone gets the vaccine."
