BJP MLA Bihari Lal Nokha On Friday reached the assembly with grasshoppers. According to him, farmers are suffering due to locusts in the state, the government should give them compensation. Seven lakh hectares of land has been damaged.

According to the media report, with the passing of the resolution, the 126th amendment made to increase the reservation of scheduled castes and tribes in Parliament and Assembly for 10 years will also be approved. Both Congress and BJP parties have issued whip to MLAs for January 24 and 25. In this session, the state budget will be presented in February. Some other important bills will also be introduced.

A resolution will be passed on the Constitution amendment to extend the SC-ST reservation for 10 years in the Lok Sabha-Assembly elections. The provision for reservation of SC-ST on Lok Sabha and Assembly seats is only for 70 years in the constitution, this period is being completed on January 25, 2020. For this reason, the 126th amendment of the constitution is required to be passed and ratified in the Legislative Assembly before January 25, and in March, the code of conduct for election of municipal corporations will be imposed. For both these reasons, the budget session has been called early.
