On the first day of the budget session on Thursday, Governor Anandiben Patel read the full address amidst the uproar of opposition in the House. Counting the achievements of the Uttar Pradesh government, it was his priority to realize the vision of Ram Rajya. Giving information about public welfare schemes, the Governor also counted agriculture Kumbh, Ganga Yatra, groundbreaking ceremonies and recent Defense Expo in his speech.

During the approximately 55-minute address in the joint sitting of the two houses, members of the Samajwadi Party, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party raised anti-government slogans and waved posters.
