There has been a new debate in the country over the controversy over the proposal of the University of Lucknow to include this law in the syllabus on the Citizenship Amendment Act. Mayawati, the national president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), who has been opposing this law since the Parliament, is not in its favor. He has said that the BSP strongly opposes it and will definitely withdraw it from the course if it comes to power in UP.

According to media reports, the course is being updated in LU. In this sequence, CAA has also been proposed to be included in the course by the Department of Political Science of the University. The department argues that since the CAA has now taken the form of a law, this initiative has been taken on this basis. There have been recent legal changes like Article 370 and CAA in Kashmir, it also becomes necessary from that point of view. However, on this whole subject, the VC Prof. Alok Kumar Rai says that only the proposal has been proposed by the department. Before a subject is included in the syllabus, he has to go through a board meeting, executive council. It takes a long time.

BSP supremo Mayawati has opposed this exercise of Lucknow University. He has said that if the BSP government comes to power, it will be withdrawn from the syllabus. On Friday, he has tweeted that the debate on CAA etc. is fine, but despite the continuation of the hearing in the court, Lucknow University has this much And inclusion of divisive citizenship law in the curriculum is completely wrong and unfair. The BSP strongly opposes it and will definitely take it back when it comes to power in UP.
